Łukasz Gawron born in 1985, Łukasz Gawron is the co-founder of the Monstfur group, the Iron Oxide gallery and the Sętowski Gawron project. He currently works individually. A sense of dissociation is a recurring theme in his work, which he defines as being a 'tourist in reality', interacting on the edge of excess and reflection. Gawron also explores the psychological and emotional impact of brands and logos, which have been worshipped by many for decades. A dominant motif in his work is the back of a lorry trailer — the perfect surface for conveying the memories and fascinations of everyday life. Gawron uses a variety of artistic media: painting, photography, stencilling, sculpture and installation. He has participated in dozens of exhibitions in Warsaw, Berlin, Paris, Stockholm, Sydney and Basel, to name a few.
